(NYSE: MED), a leading United States manufacturer and provider of clinically proven, portion-controlled weight-loss products and programs, today announced they have been engaging with Canaccord Genuity Inc. as a strategic and financial advisor, in conjunction with the Company’s previously announced plan to sell its existing corporate weight control centers and transition these locations to become franchisee-owned. The Company also retained Franchise Marketing Systems to assist in the acquisition of franchise partners to open new centers.
